So happy to have a vacuum repair shop in town! I was about to spend hundreds of dollars on a new vacuum, but the folks at McKinney were able to fix my vacuum quickly and easily and all for under $100, so I'm happy!

We took my 1970's Singer Golden Touch and Sew in for refurbishment as it had not been use in many, many years. The gentleman that assisted us (I believe was the shop owner) was so very friendly, yet professional. He gave us a receipt showing us what the work would cost and assured me that my machine would run like new after he refurbished it. After a bad couple of weeks (mother-in-law passing), this man was a blessing to us because he was so friendly and cheerful. It only took about a week and we received a text saying that my machine was ready for pickup and again, he was as friendly - so much that I told him that people come into our lives when they are needed and his personality made me believe that is true. And, he was truthful - my machine runs like new. I am so glad to have it to use once again because it is the one that I used when I learned to sew and that led me to a career of a Home Economic teacher. This experience was a blessing just when we needed one.

McKinney Sew and Vac is a wonderful family run business. I get my sewing machines serviced at least once a year and I know it will be done right! Carol does a wonderful job offering classes in a variety of sewing and quilting projects. I can get a lot of sewing notions here and I know they are "the best quality" because Carol only sells what is the best. Thanks for being in our town and offering quality in a time where that is not always the case.

I came in an hour before close on a Saturday for the first time. I don't have the lingo, I'm still stumbling through learning. A great store, great people. Once we got over the initial why I am here, everyone was less confused. I wanted a step up from my like 20yr old mechanical simple Singer. I'm locked into help, classes, mechanical stuff for a year! A year friends! There's the attached store with good thread! Not the fuzzy crap they sell off Amazon and at Walmart. I bought a bunch of colors! I had my scissors sharpened! I'm going to bring my old Singer in and have it serviced. I love her I just wanted a little more. I'm just thrilled this place still exists. Not terribly far from Burlington. Totally worth it! 💜
